Over A Pint Marketing Podcast

Mar 12, 2021

Doug Busk is the V.P. of Communications and Marketing at one of the premier schools in the south, Emory University. In this role, Doug and his team of storytellers act as the air traffic controllers for Emory’s communications, public affairs, and social networks. That alone is fascinating. But that’s not all.

Before arriving on the campus at Emory, Doug had tours of duty at Coca-Cola, AT&T, and was involved in a game-changing mobile outreach effort for Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign. Yeah, this guy has game!

Doug has the rare ability to understand a brand’s story then use the right technology channels to amplify that message to the right audiences.

In this episode of Over A Pint we talk through:

  • His thoughts on storytelling
  • Applying the three Ps (people, process, and platforms) at Emory
  • How to build bridges to achieve the best results possible
  • And how to get at the right metrics that matter

All of us at OAP loved the chance to sit down with Doug and are thrilled to be able to share his story with all of you!

Hey, make sure you check out Doug’s podcast called: In Case You Missed It. Doug and team break down the top stories from Emory once a week. Here’s the link:
